Today, we want to present you another story. The story of Pourya and the inspiration he brings across to reach your goals and happiness in your life!

You started with music industry. Why did you start and how were your first tries?

I grew up just with my mother and sometimes it was tough for us. At that time, I noticed how much influence music has. I have always felt the feeling behind that and therefore I realized that music will be undisputed part of my life. With the rap I started after breaking up with my girlfriend a few years ago, in that music I wanted to demonstrate my feelings and my ego. However, the first tries were complete shit.

How did you improve?

I improved, let’s say, with a motto “learning by doing”. I just observed my feelings and feelings of the others. I noticed the resonation of every piece of work I did and based on that I tried to improve for next time. Usually people don’t see the hard work, they just see the result, so if you want to improve it´s all about the training yourself.

Don’t let your mind be clouded!

By this, I mean that you should always have your eyes open and to see what you can take out of every action you do and from any events that may come. Just don’t waste your time in pleasure seeking behaviours.

“Only our mind can limit us!” If you want to achieve big thing you have to also think about big goals. And I know it’s easy to say but even a small improvement is a improvement.

What are the obstacles you have recently faced?

Before coronavirus pandemic I had a few bookings. It went pretty well, but due to corona crisis everything was cancelled. Suddenly I lost quite a big amount of my income.

How did you cope with this obstacle?

Not bad, I would say. It led me to the realization that I want to have also something more stable than music. So, I was thinking about the other business what I could do, to have another source of income. All this led me to establishing my own business. It is currently at the first stage of the project, but me and my team are making progress. We are creating a new brand of beer! Belgium loves beer, so why not to deliver another beer to the market! It was at first not my idea, but the idea of a few people from one of my student groups, for Artevelde.

What motivates you on your way?

My mother, happiness and my own way of living. I would like to finance my life and life of my mother, as she is extremely important to me. Secondly, to live happy life, you have to do what you want and not what the others want, so therefore I want to always do what I like, not to live just for the weekends, when you escape from your working life over the week.

What would be your recommendations to others?

There are a few recommendations that I’d like to mention. As already mentioned, firstly think big! Then, be flexible, as I experienced the loss of income, I see terrific value in being flexible. There is always a way to success, but sometimes you have to change the route to that. Focus on your goals is another advice from me as from others.

Focus on one or a few things at the time but do them properly rather than doing many things poorly. The last advice would be finding your passion and just do what you like, so you can live every single day. Is it painting or something else, do it with passion.

What is your current goal?

My current goal is to stay focused. Graduation is a short term goal that I have on my list. Besides that, I want to work on building my own business. And I have another contract with a new studio, so new songs are about to come! But as I have already mentioned, being focused is the main thing for me. Firstly, I graduate, as it takes most of my time now and then I will be able to fully dedicate my time to my business and music.

So this was the story of Pourya, that shows you that if you want to reach your goals you have to be flexible on your way and prepared for failures! Now you can enjoy one of his songs called Kenzo!
