To become the best version of yourself goes along with your physical health. For improvement of physical and mental health, any kind of sport serves as the perfect partner. Today, we will introduce you to another challenging sports art, fastpacking!
What is Fastpacking?
Fastpacking is a non-traditional sport, but it does not make it less interesting, it makes it rather more challenging. Do you struggle even with packing for the trip that you plan for two days? Then, challenge yourself and try fastpacking! This sport includes trail-running and backpacking. Imagine that you have to pack all of your stuff into one backpack that you will carry for the next three days with you. For some people, it could be fine, but for some, it is incredibly challenging, as they usually pack one big travel bag just for the weekend.
This sport includes trail running in combination with backpacking, so the benefits for you are that you can see much more in a shorter period of time. If you go hiking, you won’t be able to pass such a long distance as with fastpacking. Besides that, it sounds like a great adventure to go to nature for a few days with a minimum of your stuff. Another advantage is that you can master by this your backpacking skills, so even if you go on normal holidays you’ll be able to pack just the stuff you need, no worries of having too heavy luggage at the airport. You definitely don’t want to carry heavy weights, lighter the easier it will be for you. The map is going to be another essential part of your accessories, so if you struggle with directions, here you have another opportunity how to improve yourself.

Necessary Gear for Fastpacking
What you need for this sport, starting with a backpack, tent, sleeping bag, lamp, and good shoes. The rest varies depending on the location etc. Definitely you have to pack a map, basics such as water, food, waterproof clothes that also keep you warm, and the rest is up to you but always keep in mind less you have the better it is. The advantage is as you can be busy and cannot go for a week to the mountains, but still want to see that much like in a week, you can try to fastpack it and thus save a lot of time.
A good condition is beneficial, but not necessary
For this sport is better if you have already in quite a good condition. However, it can serve as an inspiration to discover new options for training or motivation to train to be able to undertake such an adventure. On the other hand, if you already enjoy running or hiking on regular basis and just want to add a bit of spice to it, here you go!
The recommendation is that this kind of sport should be for people with the better condition and at least a bit experience in the terrain, nevertheless even with some ordinary health condition you can make it happen and you may walk up the hills and run them down. The beginners can try to fastpack the locations where the overnight place are on the way, hence you can leave some stuff at home, for instance a tent and save some weight to carry.
