Why start a digital detox challenge?

That our technical gadgets are a source of stress is no breaking news.  But if you are constantly feeling the need to check your phone for notifications, email friends, and thinking every minute about what's new in the world, you might need a digital detox.

 

There are different forms of digital detox. You can for example lock all your devices away for a while and avoid going online at all. This is not a possibility for everyone, as many people are dependent on their laptops and/or phones for work. Here the second form of digital detox is appropriate - avoiding the NEGATIVE use of technology. This includes checking your social media every 15 minutes, binge-watching Netflix series, or losing time while browsing on the internet. Make your own list of necessary use of technology, and a list of negative use of technology. During your digital detox challenge, avoid the negative use of technology. This will help you to become more focused, happy, and get some rest.
